a picture is worth a thousand words?

a picture is worth a thousand words (an ancient chinese proverb). i posted some pics on the other blog, the traffic was massive, but the respons were minimum, haha. i posted some pics on the other blog, but no words at all, no story, no captions, not even a title for the post. my idea of a picture is worth a thousand words. i was just wondering whether the pics could deliver the message? they turned out to be a total enigma, abstract, haha. indeed they ignite curiosity. but not only that, they also cause confusion. that’s why the respons were minimum. fact: i didn’t shoot very good. i’m not yet able to send my message via image. i think i should learn some more.

muzzamil

africa

i hear the drums echoing tonight
she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
she’s coming in 12:30 flight
moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
i stopped an old man along the way
hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies
he turned to me as if to say, “hurry boy, it’s waiting there for you”

it’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
there’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
i bless the rains down in africa
gonna take some time to do the things we never had

the wild dogs cry out in the night
as they grow restless longing for some solitary company
i know that i must do what’s right
sure as kilimanjaro rises like olympus above the serengeti
i seem to cure what’s deep inside
frightened of this thing that i’ve become

it’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
there’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
i bless the rains down in africa
gonna take some time to do the things we never had

“hurry boy, she’s waiting there for you”

it’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
there’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
i bless the rains down in africa, i bless the rains down in africa
i bless the rains down in africa, i bless the rains down in africa
i bless the rains down in africa
gonna take some time to do the things we never had
